Emerging from the shadowy corners of the Multifrequency Music laboratory comes “The Numb Delight”, the latest EP from Brazilian-based artist SonicMancer. Forged in the alchemical traditions of cymatic manipulation, “The Numb Delight” transmutes five ancestral tales from formless void to mind-altering voyage, through the medium of psychedelic trance. The moniker of multi-talented student and music teacher Bruno Cabral, SonicMancer serves as a vehicle for psychedelic expression through music untethered to any specific genre or tempo: From mystical chilled-out psybient to blistering darkpsy/hi-tech, touching on everything in-between.
“The Numb Delight” serves as a perfect culmination of the myriad of influences that drives the SonicMancer project. Hovering in the 135-142 bpm range for the majority of the album, each tracks comes drenched in experimental sound design and relentless pineal assault. “The Numb Delight” strikes that unique balance of sound and ideas that so many contemporary artists strive to achieve, and delivers it in a purely original voice.
